I think my isp is restricting my dlds (I have hardly ever dld anything, and haven`t for long while) as I just tried to dld a PS CS4 off of here and it started out real fast, but then just went to zero (dld speed kbs) and stayed there. I had dld PS CS3 from here yesterday, but could not upload it for some reason, so I hope piratebay does not think I am a bad seeder! Just curious as to why anyone would need to overwrite the hosts file in the WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder as per the Read Me file? What does the hosts file have to do with Photoshop connecting to Adobe? I could understand overwriting a file in the Photoshop program but in the drivers/etc folder? Sounds like a great way to get hijacked to me.

By putting adobe in the "hosts" file, you are not letting adobe collect information from your computer including the validity of the serial key you used for photoshop.

I found your host-file under the resoruces directory. Didn't see that at first. I must have copied my own host-file to the extracting directory without paying attention to it. (That´s clumsy, I confess)

when i install this it seems to work but then as soon as i try to open anything it goes into not responding its a x64 system all brand new this is the only program that hasnt worked on it i tried full and minimal installs.

2.)Access Denied
3.) No files to extract.

Yeah I know. I don't have photoshop running, I followed all the directions. But when I extract the Host files, from Resourses.rar, I extracted to the directory it tells me I can't basically.
So then I extracted the host files to the suggested directory and overwrote the host files already there. But I'm just pretty sure those are the same host files.
Basically I'm new to this and don't want to screw myself over because Adobe is throwing a huge fit over my pirating their software. That's all.

This might be a stupid question... but do you really need to alter the hostfile? Wouldn't it be enough to go offline while installing & patching - or would activate.adobe.com need to be blocked permanently?

The "hosts" file is the most important part of this torrent. It blocks Adobe from checking if the serial you provided is genuine. This WILL work for EVERY Adobe program. All you need is a serial that appears to be valid.

I use utorrent to download th file but I can't open the rar file it says window can't open it. Did a do anything wrong?

Fuck the keys work at first, then after a 2 minutes the sytem says is invalid key any idea or good key keygen I also tr this 1330-1269-7959-3810-9366-9145 it works at first but not for long
To Zeta35: Did you read the description? Most key generators are detected as malaware by antivirus programs, but they are really harmless

The first keygen worked fine so I just deleted the second and quarantined the problem file. I couldn't replace the hosts file so I just added the required lines to my existing file and it seems to be working fine. Good thinking blocking the adobe server. Everything seems to be working fine and I can't wait to start working with it. thanks for the dl.

Ok, so I did as the instructions stated, downloaded and installed PS4 then unpacked rar then copy and pasted hosts file into stated directory, overwriting old and then ran program and ran keygen.
Only works when I use it offline. Every time I use it while connected to internet it gives me the incorrect key screen I am using XP instead of Vista and the drivers/etc folder is there. So I don't know what is the issue.

Do you have a 64 bit CPU?
If you don't, open the hosts file with notepad and make sure it has the following lines:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
::1 localhost
If it does have these lines and you don't have a 64 bit computer, then I'm sorry I'll eventually find a way to fix it.

Could someone please advice what could I do if I screwed the first time? the PS just keep prompt and tell me the SN is not valid after I restarted PS. It seems that it still dialing home. I double checked the hosts file and it's there.

That is seriously gay - there's no way you need 1MB for a screenshot - if you weren't such a noob you could have easily made the images 90% smaller in filesize without losing any of the information. Hell, just running optiPNG on the files shrinks them lossleslly by 50%

Is this the correct procedure? Download trial version of PS CS4 Extended from Adobe. Install as trial. Modify the Hosts file. (Should we then make it read only and deny write?) Use a keygen for the serial. That's it...

When you type a URL into your address bar, your computer needs to translate the human-readable-address (ex: google.com) into an IP address. It does this by FIRST checking to see if an entry exists in your hosts file. If it's not in your hosts file, then a request goes out to a DNS server and google.com pops up in your internets.
127.0.0.1 is computer shorthand for YOUR COMPUTER. What this hosts entry is actually doing is telling your computer that the activate.adobe.com server is running on your computer, and photoshop tries to connect to YOU to validate your activation. Since most of us aren't running web servers, and none of them have the address activate.adobe.com, the connection dies and photoshop keeps plugging away for you.

I should add that /etc/hosts is commonly employed to block ads online. My file, for example, contains several megs of ad servers that I want blocked. Coupled with adblock plus, I NEVER see ads, and adblock gets to do less work.
had some problems with the other torrent to edit and save the host file. However with this there where no host file problems, only thing was that I couldn't extract the host file directly from winrar, had to copy paste. no biggy. Haven't tried all the adobe programs yet, but seams to run fine. I'll seed till I find something wrong! Thanks.

Hi David, i try and extract the resources archive and it says no archive found and then in the diagnostic it says access is denied...any suggestions? anyone else have this issue?

Whenever i finish downloading this in BitTorrent, it disappears from my desktop seconds after finishing. any ideas?
